Advance Your Mindfulness Expertise with EBCA Certification

As a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, you are already making an impact—how about adding Equanimity to your toolbox?

We have partnered with dr. Joey Weber to bring EBCA certification to those who

Dr Joey who is a long-term practitioner and spent his early years living in a Tibetan monastic community believes he has designed a model for everyone to cultivate equanimity. He is the developer of Equanimity based Compassionate Action (EBCA) program that helps individuals and groups unpack why we discriminate and how to find compassion. He also developed and validated one of world’s first psychometric scales that solely focuses on the construct of equanimity - The Equanimity Barriers Scale [EBS] in 2018. His research (spanning 6 years) includes operational definitions of inner and outer equanimity relevant for clinical psychology, theoretical models of judgement and the validation of the EBS.

EBCA TT is a 4-month course module which includes 5-week of weekly live teaching with Dr. Joey Weber and a practicum where students will teach EBCA and are supported by monthly groups supervision with Dr. Joey weber. EBCA is a 6-week, 12-hour programme that helps ‘striking the balance between compassionate care for self and others'.

Core Focus of EBCA:
• Puts equanimity—the ability to remain balanced amid challenges—at the centre of mindful action.
• Connects mindfulness to wise decision-making and moral clarity in compassionate responses.
Unique Features of EBCA:
• Especially helpful for DEI initiatives in organisations and for those in service professions (e.g., healthcare, humanitarian work).
• Focus on developing inner emotional balance, not suppression or avoidance.
EBCA is a bespoke training to align with organisational needs in a professional or social context. This process takes the challenges an organisation faces and provides definitive application of how to deal with them through compassion and equanimity. Enhancing self-awareness in the context of a professional contract provides the foundation for a deeper appreciation towards ethical and empathic business interactions.
This training also allows solutions to be tailor-made and may include addressing DEI principles, conflict resolution, team building, attainment of strategic objectives through pro-social interventions, addressing religious conflict and tolerance, reducing socio-economic biases and understanding and managing political bias.
